Synopsis

For hundreds of years, the rulers of Britain battled to keep the tower of London under their rule and the crown on top of their heads. When others threatened their power or property, they felt the might of the kingdom upon them. One unlucky soul was a prison guard named John Bawd, who fell in love with a female prisoner who had stolen the crown's gold. He tried to help her escape, but both were caught and eventually killed in the tower where they first met. As a young boy, King Richard II fled to the tower when angry mobs tried to take back the kingdom. Once safe, he managed to talk to the crowd and save his life. In the end, Wat Tyler, the leader of the mob, broke into the tower (the only time ever in its history) and killed many of the King's advisors and relatives.
