Synopsis

Zachariah, an ethereal being who has neglected his soul-collecting duties, is banished to Earth for one month by his supervisor, Mordecai, to learn compassion for the human race that he often neglects. Landing on the farm of a young widow named Rebecca, Zach, now in a more helpless, human state, soon gets a job there, although Rebecca and the rest of her family and the staff are suspicious of the mysterious stranger without a past. As days pass, and Zach inadvertently becomes emotionally attached to Rebecca and her family, he finds that humans may be a lot more complicated than he originally thought. Then, as his days on Earth grow short, he must decide if his own soul belongs in Heaven or on Earth.
