Synopsis

In this retelling of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," set in the quaint fictional New England town of Winterset, Connecticut, Scrooge is an athiest and personal injury lawyer who hates Christmas. Incensed at a manger scene outside City Hall, Scoorge vows to remove it for good. The long-deceased Jacob Marley returns from the grave with a message for his former law partner: Jesus Christ, more than anyone else, has transformed human existence for the good. With help from expert witness Dr. D. James Kennedy, Marley shows Scrooge some of the benefits Christianity has brought to the world. Together, they attempt to show Scrooge why Christmas, even for those who do not believe, is a day to celebrate.
