Synopsis
A stage adaptation of Blake Edward's 1982 theatrical film "Victor/Victoria," itself an adaptation of a 1933 German film, Rheinhold Schunzel's "Viktor/Viktoria." Victoria, a down-on-her-luck singer in 1920's Paris, is forced to play a man impersonating a woman in order to survive. She and her mentor Carroll Todd, known as "Toddy," enjoy the benefits of their successful charade until the arrival of Chicago club owner King Marchan, who finds Victoria so beguiling that he can't believe she is a he.
