Synopsis

Documentary that examines Japan's military takeover of the northern Chinese province of Manchuria and the research facilities, including Unit 731. built by Japan to develop and test bio-chemical weapons. Between 1932 and the end of World War II in 1945, Chinese soldiers and civilians died as test subjects at the hands of Unit 731's leader, Shiro Ishii, and his research staff. None of the victims lived and none of the scientists spent a day in prison for their crimes against humanity. All escaped prosecution because the research documents were secretly sold to the United States government in exchange for the scientists' freedom.
