Synopsis
In 1988, the film "Rainman" introduced audiences to a condition known as Autistic-Savant syndrome. Those who suffer from autism lack the ability to socialize or communicate effectively and often can't perform simple tasks. But within this handicapped population there exists a rare few who also demonstrate Savant syndrome, in which a person is capable of incredible feats of mind. Calculation, memory and musical talents are the most common abilities in this group. The program introduces several men who demonstrate Autistic-Savant syndrome, and introduces scientists researching the phenomenon.
