Synopsis

Michael. a Detective Sergeant on a murder squad, is unwittingly sucked into a shadowy battle between humans and vampires when his best friend and partner on the squad, Jack, disappears suddenly. Michael is approached by Angie and Vaughan, two agents supposedly assigned to help in the investigation of Jack's disappearance. But when Jack appears on Michael's doorstep claiming that Angie and Vaughan are actually members of a death squad out to get him, Michael begins digging deeper for information about the two mysterious agents. Ultimately, he learns that Angie and Vaughan are members of state-sanctioned, vampire-fighting squad.

As the human race finds itself on the brink of destruction, creatures of the night struggle to gain control over their food source by launching a war for blook, forcing humans into battle. But times have changed, and the modern tactics to ward off evil are based in science, not folklore. The potent weapons in the struggle include carbon-firing machine guns, the garlic derivative known as allicin, and ultraviolet light.
