Synopsis
Documentary that examines the case of Louise Woodward, a British babysitter arrested for the death of the baby in her care. On February 4, 1997, in the quiet Boston suburb of Newton, Massachusetts, police received a frantic 911 call from the 18-year-old live-in sitter when baby Matthew Eappen stopped breathing. A few days later, Woodward was arrested for assault and battery, which was then upgraded to murder, after Matthew died. It appeared that he suffered from "Shaken Impact Syndrome." Louise insisted she did nothing wrong. The program examines the case from the 911 call through the controversial trial that also put child care on the stand.
