Synopsis

In the Sahara, paleontologist and National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence Dr. Paul Sereno unearths the "SuperCroc." Roaming the world some 110 million years ago, SuperCroc (Sarcosuchus Imperator) reached forty feet -- the length of a city bus -- and was one of the largest crocs ever to walk the planet. Sereno sets out to turn several tons of fossils into a skeleton and eventually into a life-size re-creation of the behemoth croc. To accomplish this, he first wants to learn more about its living relatives, and for that, he turns to National Geographic reptile expert Dr. Brady Barr.
