Synopsis

The tale, based on Nathaniel Hawthorne's 1850 novel, relates the stories of the Reverend Arthur Dimsdale, the man who shared Hester's sin but did not publicly confess, and Roger Chillingsworth, Hester's husband, who seeks to learn the identity of the man who cuckolded him and gain revenge.
