Synopsis
Five-part, five-hour documentary special that features adventurers pushing the limits of mental and physical strength, traveling to remote regions around the world. Includes a skiing expedition to the Himalayas, forging new climbing routes in Pakistan and climbing/skiing the 8000-meter peak, Shishapangma in Tibet. At Shishapangma, three climbers were overcome by an avalanche, killing alpinists Alex Lowe and Dave Bridges and seriously injuring Conrad Anker.
