Synopsis
On the East Coast of the United States, powerful storms called "nor'easters" can cause havoc on coastal towns, inflicting loss of life and millions of dollars of damage. The program examines three of the worst nor'easters to strike New England over the past 100 years, including the Portland Gale of 1898, which cost over 450 lives and 150 ships; the Blizzard of 1978, when 40 inches of snow fell in 36 hours; and the Perfect Storm of 1991, which led to the rescue of the crew of the Satori.
