Synopsis
Three-part dramatization of the P.D. James novel about the poetry-writing British police Commander Adam Dalgliesh, who is called in by one of his literary heroes to investigate the hate mail received at his publishing house. When the body of a woman editor is discovered and another member of the firm is found dead soon after in macabre circumstances, Dalgliesh and his team turn to the past to track down a ruthless murderer who seems prepared to kill and kill again.
