Synopsis
Roughly 100 miles off the coast of Venezuela, Barry Clifford explores the treacherous waters around the island La Aves. The coral reefs are a haven for wildlife, but mean disaster for sailors who run aground. Clifford is looking for evidence of a 300-year-old tragedy, when 13 French war ships and their crews were shipwrecked on the reef. Clifford's underwater expedition searches the waters for evidence of the wrecks and their 250 bronze cannons and looks to test the accuracy of the only map drawn of the shipwrecks over 300 years ago.
