Synopsis
After multimillionaire sports tycoon Art Brooks is murdered, veteran homicide detective Earl Mingus starts the investigation by breaking the news to Kelly Brooks, the victim's estranged wife and her lawyer/lover Richard Linski. Although Brooks was eulogized as a loving family man, it is discovered that he had a dark side and had threatened the lives of Kelly and Richard. The couple become suspects even though it becomes obvious that the murder was carried out by a hit man. The killer, Coop, is apprehended but makes a deal with Mingus for his immunity by incriminating Kelly and Richard.
