Synopsis

Profile of actress Loni Anderson. Loni Anderson got her start by acting in plays, local TV commercials and appearances on "Police Woman," "Barnaby Jones" and "The Bob Newhart Show," but it was only after a strategic career move -- changing her hair color -- that Hollywood began to take notice of her. She landed the role of Jennifer Moore on the hit CBS sitcom "WKRP in Cincinnati," earning her back-to-back Emmy nominations in 1980 and 1981. Anderson's high-profile romances also put her in the public spotlight. Following an affair with "WKRP" co-star Gary Sandy, Anderson met and fell in love with actor Burt Reynolds, who became husband number three in 1988. Tensions culminated in 1993 with their sudden divorce, which in turn sparked a bitter court battle.
