Synopsis
Documentary follows the complexities of high-rish pregnancies from before the start of labor, through epidurals, labor and delivery at New Orleans' University Hospital. Includes a woman who, 20 weeks into her pregnancy, learns that one of her twins has died inexplicably and her doctors become concerned about the live twin. A woman is pregnant with her fifth child when she and her husband learn their baby in anencephalic; it's missing most of its brain and will not survive outside the uterus. A drug-addicted, HIV-positive woman promises to do the right thing when she first lays eyes on her beautiful and healthy, but underweight newborn.
