Synopsis
An "American Playhouse" production set at a boys prep school in 1905. The story begins in September when the new semester begins, and revolves around the returning big man on campus, William Hicks, otherwise known as "the prodigious Hickey" for his ingenious pranks. Also featured in the story are the housemaster who is determined to catch Hickey red-handed, his Dickinson House mates who aid and abet him in his mischief-making, and the admiring head-master who wonders whether Hickey has finally gone too far in his pranks.
