Synopsis

Three Irish Tenors -- Ronan Tynan, Anthony Kearns and Finbar Wright -- perform a selection of songs that span a century of Irish music. John McDermott, the third Irish tenor in the 1999 PBS concert "The Irish Tenors," with Ronan Tynan and Anthony Kearns, was unable to fully participate in this program due to the loss of his mother in late January 2000. In Northern Ireland visiting family, McDermott spontaneously joined the trio onstage and sang a tribute to his mother, "The Last Rose of Summer."
