Synopsis

Vocalist Scilla McKenzie deserts her husband, Lewis, a television director, on the night before his weekly show, in which she appears, goes on the air. While Lewis, drunk, waves goodbye, Scilla moves in with John, a platonic friend, and begins to plan her new life. Scilla uses her savings to begin construction on a new house and applies her feminine wiles to thwart any substitutes Lewis chooses to sing in her place on the television show. A party at John's apartment secretly arranged by Lewis to make Scilla return to him turns, according to plan, into an orgy, and Lewis skillfully protects his wife from an attack by a drunken Australian. Reconciled, the two walk off hand in hand, leaving the party behind them.
