Synopsis

Ed Brannigan Sr. is a successful and respected attorney celebrating the addition of his son, Ed Jr., to his law firm. Ed Jr. introduces his divorced father to his attractive friend Rebecca Daly. The two are immediately attracted to one another and Ed Sr. invites her to a dinner party at his seaside estate the following week. Following dinner, they are alone together when Rebecca suddenly runs screaming from the room and accuses Ed of raping her. The charge shocks Ed Sr. as much as it does his friends, his law partners and his son. It also sets off an extended period of public humiliation, scorn and private self-doubt for both Ed Sr. and Rebecca.
