Synopsis

During his eight-year ordeal, Stockdale organizes a covert system of communication among his fellow prisoners.

Meanwhile, his wife Sybil organizes the wives of POWs and presses the U.S. government to admit that American prisoners are being tortured in Hanoi, and her political battle makes Sybil an international force.
