Synopsis

One hundred-year-old Ray Crist is a renowned scientist and researcher who grew up on a farm in south central Pennsylvania, worked on the Manhattan Project, taught at four universities and has been published in national and international journals. In his pursuit of higher education, Crist earned his doctorate in chemistry in 1926 at Columbia University. In 1941, along with other scientists, he joined the Manhattan District Project in the development of the atomic bomb. He has taught at Messiah College for the last 30 years where his research focus was on the effects of man's expanding population on Earth and its environment.
