Synopsis

Despite coping with personal demons, including a lifelong drug addiction that ultimately led to her death, Judy Garland is still remembered as one of Hollywood's greatest entertainers. In 1939, 17-year-old Garland starred in MGM's "The Wizard of Oz," the movie that made her a household name. Over the next decade, Garland starred in a number of MGM productions before being fired in 1950. Garland's personal life included five marriages, a slew of successful comebacks and a few near-death experiences. On June 22, 1969, Garland was found dead in London from a drug overdose.
