Synopsis
Profile of former first lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. Following the assassination of her husband, John F. Kennedy, in 1963, Jackie became a venerated icon. When her brother-in-law Robert Kennedy was murdered in 1968, she and her children fled the U.S. for Greece, where shipping tycoon Aristotle Onassis offered her sanctuary and wealth. "Jackie O.," as she became known to the world, lived the life of a queen on Aristotle's private island of Skorpios. Jackie died May 19, 1994, after a battle against cancer.
