Synopsis
A modern Connecticut woman travels back in time to 6th century England during the reign of King Arthur and finds herself at odds with Merlin the magician. Wise-cracking, independent-minded scientific researcher Vivien Morgan, is hurled from her New England laboratory into the dark ages of England when she tries to save her new experiment. Taken as a captive to the royal court of Camelot, she comes face-to-face with King Arthur, Queen Guinevere, the magician Merlin, Sir Lancelot and other figures of the Round Table. The threat of death forces Vivien to take advantage of a solar eclipse and win the support of King Arthur, who bestows the title of "Sir Boss" upon her, putting her at odds with Merlin. Believing she is stuck in medieval times for good, Vivien begins to introduce mechanical progress. When she faces the challenge of mortal combat with evil knight Sir Sagramour, Vivien discovers that her 20th century convictions have done more harm than good.
