Synopsis

The daughter of university professor Joanne Kilbourn finds the body of a young girl in a garbage receptacle next to her store. When her son's unsuitable girlfriend, Christy, dies after a barbituate cocktail, the police begin to ask the Kilbourns questions regarding the deaths. Both women knew each other, bore similar teddy-bear tattoos, and previously may have been prostitutes. In response to these threats to her family life, Joanne is drawn into the case, but with dire consequences: her personal safety is threatened and her five-year-old adopted daughter is kidnapped.
