Synopsis
The story of the 30-year love affair of Charles, Prince of Wales, and Camilla Parker Bowles. They met one wet afternoon in 1971 when debutante Camilla Shand waded across a polo field to be introduced to the 23-year-old Prince of Wales. Camilla teased the Prince with: "Our ancestors were lovers. So how about it?" Camilla's great-grandmother had been mistress to Edward VII. Charles was drawn to Camilla's self-confidence and her sense of humour. Three months after the affair began, Charles left for eight months' naval service. While he was away, Camilla became engaged to be married -- but did not end her relationship with Charles.
