Synopsis
A ten-part series. Jan and Diana are from different backgrounds yet they share a mutual love for the beautiful English countryside of their beloved Devon home. As their love for one another develops, however, their relationship faces many obstacles and becomes increasingly complicated, marred by bitterness and conflict, separation and reunion. Finally, as adults, their destinies become inextricably and tragically entwined as events of the 1940's lead them both to war-ravaged France where they face the threat of danger and death as French Resistance fighters.
