Synopsis
Documentary that exposes the flourishing child slave trade in modern-day northern India. Children as young as five are routinely kidnapped from rural villages and taken to remote sweatshops, where they are forced to work long hours each day for no pay, making carpets that are eventually sold for high prices in the United States. The filmmakers participate in an undercover government raid that liberates a number of children. As many as 300,000 children have been kidnapped and forced to work in the illegal carpet factories.
