Synopsis

Documentary about the manipulative sociopath with a criminal mind that lurked behind the facade of impeccably dressed, well-spoken wife and mother Patricia Allanson. Shortly after her marriage to Tom Allanson in May 1974, the bodies of Tom's parents were discovered. Both had been shot at close range. The prime suspect was Tom. He and his parents had been fueding for months over his marriage to Patricia, and she had been pleading with her husband to "do something" about "those hateful people." Tom was convicted and sentenced to two life terms. Patricia then ingratiated herself with Tom's grandparents, ultimately moving in with them, taking control of their $500,000 estate and trying to poison them with arsenic. Arrested for attempted murder, she was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison. Paroled seven years later, she started a private nursing care service catering to Atlanta's wealthiest families, promptly murdering her first clients with massive doses of sleeping pills.
