Synopsis
Viewers take a behind-the-scenes look into the workings of the most forwardly deployed, elite fighting unit in the arsenal of the United States: the Marine Corps Expeditionary Unit (MEU). This unit is comprised of over 2000 Marines who spend six-months at sea, pre-positioned close to potential world trouble spots. The Marines are fully outfitted and ready to act at a moment's notice -- reaction time is less than 24 hours compared to three to four weeks for comparable army units. In addition, the program features Marines as they go through intense training at Camp LeJeune, North Caroline, just prior to a unit's six-month deployment.
