Synopsis

Examines the events that spawned two trials and a plea bargain in the mysterious death of Julie Post. On the morning of June 4, 1986, Edward Post claims he drew a bath in a hotel room for his wife and then went out for his morning jog. Upon returning to the hotel, Post found his wife unconscious in the bathtub. After being rushed to the hospital, Julie Post was pronounced dead. St Louis homicide detectives declared Post's death an accident. But the medical examiner who performed the autopsy on Post listed the cause of death as drowning, but classified her death as "undetermined." Eventually, through further investigation, murder charges were brought against Edward Post and after three trials he pleaded guilty in exchange for a lighter sentence.
