Synopsis
In 57 B.C., young Cleopatra, the future queen of Egypt, desperately tries to help her father, King Ptolemy Auletes, the Pharaoh of Egypt, keep hold of his crown in the face of angry citizens and his power-hungry eldest daughter. The King and Cleopatra turn to Julius Caesar and the Roman Empire for aid, setting in motion a chain of events that eventually returns King Ptolemy to power. In the process, Cleopatra learns an important lesson about loyalty, one that will someday influence her own reign.
