Synopsis

A scientist sets out to prove that reindeer can fly and along the way discovers the true meaning of faith, family and Christmas. When he was a boy, Jerry McNeal was rescued from a fall by a reindeer. Jerry has continued to believe that reindeer can fly, but he has put aside his obsession to be a responsible father, husband and scientist. One day, as a Christmas present, a student gives him a 19th century scientific journal that traces flying reindeer to their origins near the North Pole. An ecstatic Jerry decides to risk everything to find these creatures. Unfortunately, his research plane crashes near the North Pole. Even though he discovers the flying reindeer and a magical village run by a robust, jolly fellow named Nick, he has no way to return home. While his wife Debbie and daughter Grace frantically search for him, Jerry must convince Nick to help him get home. Nick can help, but only if Jerry puts aside proof and embraces faith.
