Synopsis
An adaptation of the novel by Daphne du Maurier about wealthy Lady Dona St. Columb who leaves the corrupt royal society in London to seek peace and solitude in her family home in Cornwall. On her arrival, she discovers that French pirates are raiding the local community and one particular pirate, Jean Aubrey, is using her family home. Falling in love with him, Dona is caught between the local community and her husband's attempt to defeat the marauders and capture the Frenchman.
