Synopsis
Charles Lattimer is a successful advertising executive married to Kristen, an ambitious venture capital associate. Charles wishes for a simpler life and on a train trip to a nearby city, he is magically transported to Somerville, a small town that existed in the late 1800s. Frightened at first, Charles steps into the antique world of a life gone by and meets Laura, a widow who runs the town newspaper. Charles is immediately attracted to Laura and the time and place in which she lives. Charles makes several trips to Somerville and is more and more confused by the two lifestyles to which he has access. Torn between the past he is undeniably drawn to and an unrewarding present, Charles struggles to make the right decision until his wife makes a choice of her own that catapults him to his destiny.
