Synopsis

Documentary of a ten-day mock war in the Pacific, in June 1996. Every two years since 1971, the U.S. and its Pacific Rim Allies practice their military skills in an immense war game called RIMPAC. For RIMPAC '96, one team, consisting of U.S. and Japanese forces, supports the aggressor, a fictitious country called Capmid. The other, a Multi-National Force (MNF) consisting of U.S., Australian, Canadian, South Korean and Chilean forces, is "authorized" by the U.N. to support Capmid's target, Pacifica. The battle is captured by camera crews on air, sea and land.
