Synopsis
While tending his flock during a fierce rainstorm, Lucas, an orphaned shepherd boy, is struck by lightning. Found by Sister Theresa, he is brought to her convent and nursed back to health. However, he has been left blinded by the accident. As Christmas approaches, Lucas, who had been entertained by tales of the season by Sister Theresa, expresses a desire to participate in a Nativity play. The story relates the miracle that occurs when, on Christmas Day, it begins to snow and Lucas regains his gift of sight.
