Synopsis
A special combining period footage and photographs to depict events leading up to, during and following the Holocaust. Children's personal stories evolve from first-hand documentation -- diaries, letters, published recollections. The special consists of four acts: pre-war life in Germany which is changed with the violence of Kristallnacht; accounts of prisoners transported by train to concentration camps; tales of horror from the camps; and finally the liberation of these camps by the Allies in 1945.
