Synopsis
A contemporary retelling of the classic story "Beauty and the Beast," based on the novel "Beauty" by Susan Wilson. Alix Miller meets novelist Lee Crompton when her artist father Alexander is too ill to paint Lee's family portrait. As they work together, Alix begins to fall in love with Lee despite his appearance, which is marred by a disfiguring ailment. Though Alix cares deeply for Lee, his own self doubt causes him to reject her until they both realize that their lives have been irrevocably changed by their encounters with one another.
