Synopsis
A rural comedy about the absurdity of the Albanian Communist government under Enver Hoxha. A young teacher arrives in a small mountain town, only to discover that the local government demands that he organize the students into revolutionary groups. They must then spell out slogans in rocks and paint them white. The work is backbreaking for the children, and anathema to the teacher. But all concerned must make compromises in order to survive.
