Synopsis
Documentary about octopuses. Octopuses evolved from creatures with hard shells, but losing their armor hasn't made them more vulnerable. They can change colors like a chameleon, squeeze through tight spots, spit out clouds of ink to blind attackers and employ deadly venoms on predators and prey. Shot off the southern coast of New Zealand, the program tells the life story of a single female octopus, from birth to old age, and her encounters with squid, paddle crabs, sea eggs, anemones and cod.
