Synopsis

April 25, 1974. Day breaks over the Paris ringroad. A Citroen 2CV drives toward Lisbon, where, the day before, the Revolution of Flowers had put an end to one of the longest dictatorships in Europe. In the car are Marco and Victor, two friends, aged 25, both spurred by the desire to witness an historic event, with its promise of encounters and discoveries. On the way, they stop to pick up Claire, with whom they had formed a trio in their student days when they were already "hitting the road". Now a housewife and mother, Claire, Victor's ex-girlfiend, seizes this opportunity to interrupt the monotony of her everyday life for a few days. In the emblematic car, the protagonists head south across breathtaking landscapes and cross the border after innumerable difficulties. When they get to Lisbon, confronting the reality of the revolution helps them gradually turn the page on their adolescence and face adulthood.
