Synopsis

Leroy "B.J." Brown, Jr. became a key homicide witness at age seven and a homicide victim at age eight. The program recalls the murder of the boy and his mother in their home in Bridgeport, Connecticut. B.J. was shot in the head as he cried for his mother, Karen, who had just been gunned down a few feet away. Investigators would later learn that B.J. was murdered to prevent his testimony at the upcoming trial of drug dealer Russell Peeler for the murder of Karen's fiance, Rudy Snead. B.J. had witnessed Peeler shoot at Snead in an earlier attempt to kill Snead.
