Arrested on charges of robbery and assault, Albert DeSalvo admitted to killing 13 women, but the police couldn't corroborate his story and never brought murder charges. While serving a life sentence in in prison for sexual assault and robbery DeSalvo was stabbed to death. No one has been charged with the Boston stranglings and the case remains open.
