Synopsis
A female shopper ends up hospitalized and on the verge of death after seemingly cutting her hand in a dressing room at Garsons, a major New York City department store. Susan Costello, a public relations executive at Garsons, learns that the woman's grave condition is caused by a bite from a diseased rat. Desperate for answers, she enlists the help of Jack Carver, the city's top exterminator, to get to the root of the problem. Health officials stall in getting the information out to the public for fear of losing needed tourism dollars. Meanwhile, packs of wild rats are fleeing their underground enclaves and terrorizing the public.
