Synopsis
Portrait of Los Angeles saxophonist Teddy Edwards, a historically neglected exponent of the bop jazz tradition. A pioneer of the tenor sax, Edwards career took him to Los Angeles's Central Avenue jazz scene, which thrived in the years prior to WWII. One of the fathers of bebop, Edwards career went into decline following the war. Now in his 70's, Edwards is still playing the tenor sax with his current band in Los Feliz.
