Synopsis
As World War II draws to an end, Marie and Josef Cizek struggle to get by in Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia. When their Jewish neighbor David shows up on their doorstep seeking a place to hide, the Cizeks agree to give him shelter despite the risk. But when the Nazis threaten to station an officer in the Cizek's spare bedroom, Marie must get pregnant fast in order to claim the open room as a nursery.
