Synopsis
When Anselm, a slightly effeminate monk in California's wine country, receives a visit from the angel Gabriel, Father Frederick accuses him of trying to cover-up a homosexual dalliance. He assumes the young priest has mental problems and locks him in a cell to pray for guidance. His prayers are answered with a miracle: Anselm turns into a woman and finds that he is pregnant.
